Sauna Hat Making and Decorating Workshop with Feled

Make and decorate a beautiful bespoke sauna hat from raw wool!

We are Feled (aka Kat and Meah) woolcrafters and sauna-lovers running a sauna hat making workshop at Liz's house (the owner of Beach Box Spa). We will be using needle felting techniques to decorate beautiful designs onto hand felted wool.

Sauna hats are traditional to the sauna cultures of central europe, used for centuries to protect the head from overheating in the sauna. The ancient craft of felting from raw wool is fun, therapeutic , and engaging with a heritage natural material which humans have used for thousands of years. Together we will practice both wet felting and needle felting techniques (onto hand-felted wool templates, hand-made by us) to create and decorate your very own felted sauna hat to take home. Whether you're a felting expert or a complete beginner, join us for creativity crafting and fun!

All materials needed for the workshop will be provided alongside nibbles and soft drinks. The workshop will be followed by an optional sauna in Liz's garden sauna wearing your new felt creations - we hope to see you there :)
