# Event Details - **Event Name**: Portrait Club - **Event Start and End Date**: Tue, 02 Sep, 2025 at 06:30 pm – Tue, 07 Jul, 2026 at 08:30 pm (+01:00) - **Event Description**: Join us in-person for a relaxed, friendly portrait drawing session where everybody takes it in turn to pose, free and open to all abilities.About this EventThe idea is simple - everybody meets at the pub, and once settled, takes it in turns to pose for a few minutes while everybody else draws. By the end of the evening, you will all have been drawn and will all have a collection of drawings of other people. It’s a sociable, light-hearted, untutored evening of drawing; a chance to practice drawing a wide range of faces and to meet some lovely new people at the same time! This cosy session is funded by Draw Brighton Patreon supporters and is free to attend - we start just after 6:30pm, take a short break part way through, then finish at 8:30pm. You can arrive late or leave early and it is totally fine to turn up for the session without booking.   If you like coming along you can help fund the session by signing up to the Draw Patreon for a few pounds per month. By supporting Draw you’ll help fund Portrait Club as well as getting access to the discounted rate at our in-person classes, tiered access to our artist’s photo reference library, live online life drawing & portrait drawing classes and recorded online courses. What you need to bring Please bring your own materials - some basic drawing materials are provided as a back-up if you don’t have anything with you.   Finding us The session is run at the Open House pub, 146 Springfield Road, Brighton BN1 6BZ, very close to Preston Park train station and lots of local bus routes; you’ll find directions HERE. When you enter the pub, ask at the bar for Portrait Club and they will be able to direct you to the drawing. There will be music playing and the bar serves food and a range of drinks, including local beers & soft drinks.  Joining the community Portrait Club is free to attend and funded by the Draw Patreon.
