The course is suitable for anybody with some drawing experience, from beginners who have attended untutored drawing sessions and want to expand their practice, to experienced artists looking to explore new ways of working.What to ExpectDay 1: We’ll work from mirrors to draw large scale self-portraits, exploring how our sense of touch can contribute to our understanding of the form of the head and thinking about how we compose our drawings at a larger scale.Day 2: We’ll work from a model to make A1 drawings, working through a series of experiences to help us think about new ways of experiencing and representing the head and face.What to Bring All materials will be supplied; you may wish to bring a sketchbook for taking notes, and elastic bands or a folder for taking rolled drawings home. Signed copies of Jake’s book ‘Figure Drawing’ will be available to buy on the day.Getting to the studio West Hove Art studio is located at 16 Kingsthorpe Road, Hove, BN3 5HR. The studio has paid, on-road parking spaces outside the building.
