There is no need for experience or skill in singing.About this EventThe community Kirtan is primarily facilitated by Alberto Pintos, Rosa Chen and Sasha Amonvanta with the intention of inviting special guests on a regular basis. The kirtan is on a donation basis in support of the local charity Together Co. which works to alleviate loneliness for people who are socially marginalised or housebound for various reasons. Kirtan is a yogic practice of singing Sanskrit mantras in a simple repetitive and meditative manner. There may also be chants and songs in other languages and from other traditions in the same spirit. The mood of Kirtan can be still and introspective or boisterous and expressive, yes, you may dance and both moods can co exist in the same kirtan. The melodies are simple and there is no need for singing experience or skill. Just allow your body to breath, your voice to open and your heart to be immersed in the qualities of the mantras. Rosa Chen will be offering a soothing and healing sound bath with Tibetan singing bowls to close the Kirtan. The kirtan will be ongoing, every other Friday evening at 19:15 to 20:45 at the Float Spa, Hove. 100% of proceedes to support Together Co.Alberto Pintos developed his Kirtan practice from living amongst the Vaishnava and Mata Amritanandamayi communities as well as various other yoga communities. He spent many years facilitating Kirtan at the programs of the yoga communities he was involved in, conscious festivals and informal gatherings. His Kirtan is always offered in the spirit of spontaneous, loving and joyful devotional service towards all who gather to share in it.Rosa Chen, an intuitive healer from Indonesia now based in the UK, blends ancient wisdom with heartfelt care as a Tibetan bowl sound bath practitioner and tarot reader. Gentle and deeply attuned, she guides those feeling stuck, drained, or seeking clarity in relationships, work, or life. Her otherworldly grounding Tibetan moonlight bowls melt heaviness, inviting profound calm and renewal, while her compassionate tarot readings offer accurate, resonant insights that spark purpose and transformation. Clients call her sessions deeply healing, instantly relaxing, and life-affirming genuine, caring, immensely talented.Sasha Amonvanta has practised chanting and meditation most of her adult life and is a registered Mindfulness Based Cognitive Teacher.
