Built as a private residence, the magnificent Hooke Court dates back to the 1500s. The manor house was damaged in the Civil War, and later served as a boarding school for boys. This long history provides a rich backdrop for paranormal claims

Staff have claimed to have seen shadow figures in the corridors, ghost of the ‘white lady’, cold blasts and doors mysteriously opening by themselves. Disembodied voices and footsteps have been heard - could these be former family members who lived at Hooke Court, or boys from when Hooke Court was a school?
