# Event Details - **Event Name**: ASCape Woodworking Workshops - **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 26 Aug, 2026 at 10:00 am – Wed, 26 Aug, 2026 at 04:00 pm - **Event Description**: A series of two day workshops for Autistic and socially anxious children and young people to explore making wooden pieces of furnitureAbout this EventIn a series of two day workshops at the Common Practice workshop, Alfy, Josie and Jack from Common Practice will work with members of ASCape to fabricate a piece of furniture for each participant (aged 12yo+). The workshop will begin with a model making session, exploration of examples and discussion to decide what the participant will make during the remainder of the workshop.If support is needed, a parent-carer is very welcome to stay on site to support their young person with their project.Each workshop runs from 10am - 4pm on TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS with a break for lunch. Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided, but please provide your own lunch.The cost for this activity is £25 per child/ young person for each 2-day workshop.
