About this Event

About this Event

Every conversation is an opportunity to make a difference.

This interactive Making Every Contact Count (MECC) session introduces the Ask–Assist–Act (AAA) approach, a simple, proven method to help you start supportive wellbeing conversations with confidence. Please note this course is for Shropshire attendees only

Whether you’re a frontline worker, volunteer, or community connector, you’ll learn how to spot “MECC moments”, share reliable information, and signpost people to local support that really helps.

Who Should Attend:

1. Frontline staff and volunteers

People who directly interact with the public:

2. Health, care and wellbeing professionals

Those providing advice, support or care:

3. Community and voluntary sector workers

Staff and volunteers

4. Local authority and public sector staff

Individuals who may have informal opportunities for wellbeing brief interventions

5. Anyone in a supporting or advisory role

Why this broad audience?

Because MECC AAA is not about giving specialist advice—it’s about:

These are skills almost anyone in a public-facing role can use.
