- **Event Description**: Bring a chair, bring a friend and be a part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, as Cosby’s Garden Centre hosts a FREE outdoor concert in the Sculpture Garden. It will only be the second event ever held in the new amphitheater area in the upper portion of the garden. 

Join Ivan, his family, staff, Toronto violist Brenna McLane (who performed in the inaugural amphitheater event last year), cellist Michael Wong, and guitarist, Jared McLane for what is bound to be a very special music event. The concert is also a tribute to Jared and Brenna’s mom, Deb McLane, who loved Ivan's art and the Sculpture Garden, attended several of Ivan’s workshops and who passed away in 2016. Several of Deb’s much-loved concrete creations from Ivan’s workshops adorn the McLane family properties in Port Mouton and Halifax. 

The outdoor concert is entirely weather dependent and will feature classical pieces for viola and cello from McLane and Wong (including Beethoven’s “Eyeglasses duet”) and several classic Beatles’ songs from Jared McLane. The concert is expected to begin around 1 pm on July 11th and last for about an hour. If the event is cancelled because of the weather, the concert will be held at the same time on the following Saturday, July 18th.
