Date: Saturday February 28, 2026 (backup date March 28)
Time: 10:00AM Start
Route: Along Centennial Trail, Start/End at LCLC
Fee: $10.00 in support of Alfie’s IWK Hospital Fundraiser (Alfie is the 10 year old entrepreneur behind Eddy’s Bites Homemade Dog Treats & Accessories) He’ll be ‘crawling’ with us too!
This event is a chance to shell-abrate the February-long Nova Scotia Lobster Crawl Festival along Nova Scotia’s South Shore.
The 5k Route will start and end at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre and run on the Centennial Trail along (and over!) the LaHave River.
Everyone, of all abilities are welcomed and invited to get outside and ‘crawl’ the trail with us – it’s a perfect excuse to get outside with friends, family – including kids in stroller, and even your pets (on leash)!
It’s an ‘official’ race, you’ll receive your runners/walkers/strollers ‘numbered bib’ and have your time taken, a water station at your turn around point and snacks and beverages upon your return to the finish line – and an after-party with door prizes!
There’s even a Lobster Crawl themed medal for participants!
While there is a Registration Fee of $10, 100% of these funds will be donated to the IWK on behalf of 10 year old Alfie who is on a quest to raise $20,000 in support of the hospital as he embarks on a 3K Spartan Race – his first ever.
PLUS Steele Auto Group will be matching the funds from registration to support Alfie too!
