Join us at Bridgeton Library to mark World Autism Acceptance Month with writer Amy Baker and SWAN.
Amy Baker will discuss her memoir Patient A, which explores her late diagnosis of autism and ADHD. The book is a personal account of misdiagnosis and self-understanding, written to help others feel less alone and to remind readers that they are more than a label.
During the event, Amy will be in conversation with SWAN and will also invite questions from the audience.
SWAN will be in the library alongside Amy Baker on the day, offering free information and support.
SWAN is a national organsation run by and for autistic women, girls and non-binary people. They host free, in-person social meet-up groups across Scotland, including at Bridgeton Library and the Mitchell Library. These autistic-led spaces are relaxed and welcoming, and are facilitated by autistic volunteers.
