Comprising two seasoned professionals, the group was founded by Mark, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who achieved international recognition when his 12-string guitar instrumental, "Blue House," garnered over half a million views on YouTube and was licensed by Mexico Wagyu for their U.S. promotional campaigns.

​Seeking to redefine the live acoustic experience, Mark turned his focus to the rich, resonant textures of the ukulele. This unique direction quickly caught the attention of legendary Radio One DJ "Smiley Miley," who  managed the duo initially. CALON is celebrated for their original compositions and distinctive "Celtic-Country" reimagining of popular covers. Their sound is defined by powerful vocal harmonies layered over an intricate arrangement of bass, baritone, and tenor ukuleles, all driven by a custom-made acoustic foot drum. Twice named "Best Duo" by the Wales Clubland Interfederation, CALON delivers a very unique performance that is as emotionally resonant as it is musically innovative
