Deep River
Deep River is fronted by three female vocalists (Founder Sharon Lewis who also plays bass guitar, Sandy Howard and Nita Smith) and backed by some of the Asheville Area’s finest musicians including lead guitarist Alec Fehl and drummer Justin Watt, both of whom teach at the Asheville Music School, acoustic guitarist Peter Millis and Brevard keyboardist Kevin Sanders (who’s also a member of the High Flying Criminals).
Our show will feature some of your favorite Prime Country hits by artists like Dolly, Shania, Brandy Clark and Michael Martin Murphey PLUS popular Yacht Rock hits by iconic bands like the Eagles, America, the Doobie Brothers and Fleetwood Mac
During our 34-year career Deep River has sung with country music superstar/part-time Eagle Vince Gill, and opened for Grand Ole Opry star and 2-time Grammy winner Kathy Mattea, Grand Ole Opry star Mark Wills, Country Music HOF’r Charlie Louvin of The Louvin Brothers and the 'First Lady of Bluegrass', Wilma Lee Cooper.
