- **Event Description**: For nearly a decade, Alicia Delaney has devoted her teachings to the medicine of rest. As the world leans ever more toward excess effort and urgency, the lessons of slowing down and getting quiet have become all the more valuable and necessary to share skillfully.

This modular training equips yoga instructors with the expertise to gently and effectively guide fundamental elements of Restorative yoga and deep relaxation for group classes, private clients, and even in-home practice. To accommodate varying teaching backgrounds, interests, and schedules, any of the four modules can stand alone; participants can complete a single weekend of study, bundle more than one, or register for a comprehensive 40 hours of Yoga Alliance continuing education hours and 1-on-1 mentorship.

Rest as Refuge—Module A (Sept. 19-20) | 10 CEUs

An introduction to Restorative yoga, props, poses, sequencing, language, trauma-informed fundamentals, and mind-body science.

Rest as Relationship—Module B (Oct. 10-11) | 10 CEUs

A hands-on, experiential study of Restorative yoga’s neuroscience roots, the power of symbolism and imagery, prop resourcefulness, and safe, soothing adjustments.

Rest as Revelation—Module C (Nov. 14-15) | 10 CEUs

A robust exploration of the spiritual container that influences Restorative yoga, integration of rest beyond muscles and brain to the soul, and the expansion of the practice as a lifestyle.

Rest as Reciprocity—Mentorship Module (personalized schedule and Dec. 12) | 10 CEUs

1-on-1 meetings, assignments customized for your goals, teaching observations, and a closing practicum weave together a net of support to supplement your instruction.
