It originated as a way to recycle old, beautiful kimono silk. Today, it is widely popular as a relaxing, eco-friendly way to make textured art.Participants will create a panel suitable for framing using the Japanese Kinusauga technique. Pattern choice of landscape, silhouette, cat or dog.All experience levels are welcome. The result of Kinusaiga are exceptional but learning the craft is surprisingly easy.About the Instructor - Mary Turpin is an accomplished fiber artist and juried-member of the Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria Virginia. She is also a juried-member artist at the Arches Gallery at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia.All materials and a free drink are included in the cost of the ticket.
