Inaugural Slow Roll Sunday - a Trolley Trail Extension Event

Join the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area, 3711 Studios, Chalk Riot, and Arrow Bicycle for the inaugural Slow Roll Sunday, on Sunday, October 26 from 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. This free bicycling/scooting event is designed for people to learn about the many cultural and economic assets that would benefit from a better connection at the pedestrian level. It will also provide updates on the initiative to bring the trail through Mount Rainier, Brentwood and North Brentwood thereby connecting to the existing trail which supports opportunities for healthy living, transit, and economic development in Hyattsville, Riverdale Park and College Park, and the larger Anacostia Tributary Trail System.

The 2-mile tour along Rhode Island Avenue and onto the Trolley Trail starts with an artist’s pre-event gathering at 3711 Studios and Chalk Riot, stops at various places along the way, and ends in Mount Rainier’s Memorial Park which boasts two award-winning restaurants for riders to conclude the event.
