Learn 2 Crochet at The Nest

Welcome to Learn 2 Crochet! Are you ready to pick up a new hobby and create some cozy masterpieces? Join us at The Nest Community in Brendale QLD, Australia to get hookin'!

Unlock the art of creating beautiful pieces with just a hook and yarn. You will be given hands-on guidance in a supportive environment, so you can gain confidence in your basic crochet stitches and connect with fellow beginners. Plus, you'll take home valuable skills to continue your crochet journey independently

This is a truly unique shop-to-class experience that is suitable for participants 15yr+. Hosted in our Gladys Mary Studio, you will be surrounded by our stunning Heritage Collection of sewing memorabilia that we've preserved from donations in our Textile Recovery Centre. The 3 hour class includes a tour of our social enterprise The Nest Haberdashery, where you can buy low cost, reclaimed resources to continue creating at home.

What you will learn to:

• Hold your hook and yarn
• Do basic chain stitch
• Progress onto doubles and trebles
• Understand crochet terminology and patterns

What to Bring?

• No need to bring anything!
• All hooks, yarn and instructions provided.

Terms and conditions

1. We require a minimum of 3 attendees for the class to go ahead. If this minimum number isn't met, we can reschedule you to another date or give a full refund.
2. Cancel more than 7 days prior to the event and we will issue a full refund.
3. Cancellation with less than 7 days notice, will not be refunded, however we are happy to transfer bookings to other people. If a medical certificate is provided, we can issue you with a credit note valid for 6 months.
4. Failure to attend on the day of the class will result in a loss of your class fee.
5. All attendees must purchase a ticket.

This class is designed for individuals aged 15 and older who are capable of working independently and following instructions.
