Een avond met een van de meest invloedrijke en iconische acts in de geschiedenis van hiphop komen naar Breda! Het Amerikaanse hiphop-trio raakte bekend met de monsterhit 'Rapper's Delight' en zette hiphop op de kaart.

In 1979 haalde ze de popcharts met het nummer ‘Rapper’s Delight’ dat tot in de 21e eeuw veel hiphopartiesten heeft beïnvloed. Big Bank Hank, Master Gee en Wonder Mike vormen samen Sugarhill Gang. De single ‘Rapper’s Delight’ werd opgenomen in één take. In maar liefst 15 minuten rappen de groepsleden over een dansbaar hiphop nummer. De intro “I said a hip-hop, the hippie / to the hip, hip-hop and you don’t stop” is misschien wel de allerbekendste line. In 2009 scoren ze opnieuw met de Lala Song. De track van de nieuwe single van Bob Sinclar waarvoor de Sugarhill Gang de lyrics inzongen.

The 45 Prince is een bekende naam in Breda en een vaste waarde achter de draaitafels. Gedreven door zijn liefde voor old-school hiphop mixt hij moeiteloos klassieke hiphop met soul, funk, reggae en pop.
