Miles Davis stond bekend om zijn geniale ingevingen en gepassioneerde levensstijl. De muziek die hij aanraakte zou daarna nooit meer hetzelfde zijn. Kind of Blue, Ascenseur pour l’Echafaud en We Want Miles behoren tot de meest legendarische albums uit de jazz. Niet voor niets was hij de ontdekker van mensen als Herbie Hancock en Betty Davis en werkte hij samen met o.a. Prince en Chaka Kahn. Miles stond ook bekend om zijn donkere kant. ‘The Prince of Darkness’ deed niet alleen van zich spreken als compromisloze artiest maar ook als uitgesproken persoonlijkheid die geen blad voor de mond nam als het ging om burgerrechten.

MILES 100 onderzoekt en schetst een beeld met poëzie, film en muziek van deze geniale persoonlijkheid die bleef creëren tot het bittere eind in 1991. Speciaal voor het Breda Jazz Festival hebben Michael Varekamp en Eric Vloeimans de samenwerking opgezocht. Samen brengen ze een ode aan hun grote held Miles Davis.
