The Brecon to Cardiff Xtreme
Take on South Wales’ ultimate winter mountain running challenge. This legendary 47.5-mile race carves a brutal line from Brecon to Cardiff, crossing 11 peaks & high points with a leg-burning 2680m of ascent. This isn’t just an ultramarathon—it’s an endurance test in true winter mountain conditions, designed for runners with the skills, grit, and experience to match. Places are strictly limited and with the race selling out in 2024 and 2025, demand is higher than ever.
The Taff Xtreme Marathon
Not ready for the full ultra? The Taff Xtreme offers the perfect stepping stone. Following the second half of the ultra route, this point-to-point 26 mile trail marathon runs from Merthyr to Cardiff, packing in 1300m of ascent and all the rugged beauty of South Wales’ mountains and valleys. Tough, raw, and unforgettable, it’s ideal for runners seeking a serious winter challenge or making the leap into the world of ultra trail running.
