This year we will take on the Snowball Mountain Challenge, a winter-themed VBS where children will discover that the strength they need for life’s challenges comes from God. Through stories from scripture, kids will learn that even when life feels difficult, uncertain, or overwhelming, God’s strength is always with us. Each day we will hear Bible stories filled with courage, perseverance, and hope. As the week unfolds, children will discover the promise of Philippians 4:13—“I can do all things through him who strengthens me”—which reminds us that we are never facing life’s challenges alone. Our snowy mountain adventure will be filled with frosty games, creative activities, music, storytelling, science, crafts, and snacks, all designed to help children experience faith in fun and meaningful ways. Along the way they’ll also hear from Ollie the Arctic Seal, who reports on the daily happenings and adds a little extra fun to the week! By the end of the week, kids will have explored how faith gives us courage, resilience, and strength—not just during VBS, but at home, school, church, and everywhere life takes us. Location Once again, we will be meeting at the Blossom Hill Pavilion. Being outdoors in the wide open spaces has been such a wonderful experience, and we’re excited to return there again this year. Dates & Time VBS will take place July 6–10 in the morning from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. The program is open to children age 3 (and fully potty trained) through those entering 6th grade in the fall. Registration Registration opens April 1 and will remain open until we reach capacity. If you have friends or family who might enjoy VBS, we encourage you to invite them—this is truly one of the highlights of the summer! Cost: The cost for the full week is $30–$45 per child using our tiered pricing system. Tiered pricing allows families to choose the rate that best fits their financial situation. The pricing option you select remains confidential and does not influence the experience your child receives. Tier 1 – $30 per child This rate is available thanks to the generous support of Brecksville United Methodist Church members. Tier 2 – $30–$45 per child A partially supported rate for families who are able to contribute a little more toward the cost of the program. Tier 3 – $45 per child This rate more closely reflects the true cost of the VBS experience. Volunteers Volunteers are an essential part of making VBS such a joyful and meaningful week. Adults who volunteer for al five days will have their child(ren)’s registration covered at no cost.
