Magic, Music, and Frosty the Snowman. Come see Mozart’s The Magic Flute!
Get ready for an adventure full of magic instruments, silly jokes, brave journeys, and beautiful music! This winter, the Windham Philharmonic in collaboration with The Putney School and Brattleboro Winter Carnival will present Mozart’s The Magic Flute in fun, family-friendly performances devised especially for the Brattleboro Winter Carnival.
You’ll meet a prince on a quest, a princess finding her courage, dancers, dragons, and goblins, a couple of crusty adults, and a funny bird-catcher who just wants snacks and friends, and three wise Spirits—played by students from The Putney School—who help guide everyone along the way.
And guess what? Frosty the Snowman will be on stage in the opera!
With big voices, live orchestra, colorful characters, and lots of surprises, The Magic Flute is perfect for curious kids, families, and anyone who loves stories where imagination and fun lead the way.
Admission is by donation. We look forward to sharing this musical journey of fun, magic and wonder with you!
