Immersed in the culture that had inspired his music for decades, the experience resulted in a collection of new recordings that blend Brazilian rhythms with American songwriting traditions.The concert features Jesse with his Serenata Bossa Nova band: Alison Hale (flute), Darryl Kniffen (drums), Daniel Kasnitz (bass), and Ron Kelley (saxophone), performing selections from the new releases along with stories from the recording sessions in Brazil.Since 2022, Schettini has produced artists from both Brazil and the United States, building musical collaborations that cross cultures and languages. His work demonstrates how music can create meaningful connections across borders while honoring diverse traditions.Lepkoff is also well known throughout New England for his work in early music with The Boston Camerata and his own Ensemble Amphion Baroque.
