In Germany, an assisting doctor earns EUR 4,280 per month in 1st remuneration class (of a total of 6 classes), a specialist 5,900 EUR in 1st remuneration class (of a total of 6 classes) and a senior doctor EUR 7,200 in 1st remuneration class (of a total of 6 classes). The salaries of chief doctors are usually agreed with the hospital on an individual basis. As a matter of course, German hospitals pay an extra remuneration for additional services and on-call duties. 25-30 days of holiday are the norm. The hospital from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Switzerland offer their medical staff high salaries and interesting benefits as well.
