Gregory Hamilton on Lute & Theorbo

Dr. Gregory Hamilton is a composer, recitalist on organ, lute, harpsicord, a conductor, and continuo player on lute & theorbo. Specializing in the glory of early music, he has performed and taught internationally with over 100 of his works in publication. The lute and theorbo are some of the oldest instruments in existence, originating in the Arabic & Middle Eastern cultures. Monarchs like Henry VIII and Elizabeth played the lute. During it's golden age of 1500 - 1760, a vast repertoire of music was created for it by the best European composers of the time. Come be touched by this ancient music.
