Live Appearance By Actor Val Kilmer At Screening of 'Cinema Twain'

In an acting career that has spanned 35 years, Val Kilmer is best-known for his box office hits and portrayal of diverse characters that include Jim Morrison in ‘The Doors’, Doc Holliday in ‘Tombstone’, Iceman in ‘Top Gun’ and Batman in ‘Batman Forever.’ But it is his role of humorist Mark Twain in ‘Cinema Twain’ that has become one of his most passionate roles. His cinematic depiction of ‘Twain’ is not only hilarious, but gives audiences an emotionally connection to, Samuel Clemens.

Based on the life of Samuel Clemens, ‘Cinema Twain’ is a 90-minute film where Kilmer successfully channels America’s best-known humorist and writer. From humorous one-liners, to his thoughts on politics, to his family and ultimately his faith and God, Kilmer cleverly incorporates Twain’s humor and cleverness to intertwine past and modern-day topics.

‘Citizen Twain’, a one-man play, is written, directed, produced by and stars Kilmer as Mark Twain. Kilmer tours the country with ‘Cinema Twain’, a filmed presentation of ‘Citizen Twain’ that will screen in Branson at The Mansion Theatre on September 29th at 7:30pm.

Kilmer will introduce the film and conduct a Q & A with the audience following the screening.
