Out Of Our Minds - Exploring Mental Health & Resiliency

• Table Sponsors of 8 for $250 •

While statistics say 1 in 5 people will suffer from a mental illness at least once in their lives, reality says it will affect everyone on some level. From the streets to the corporate board rooms, from the child to the grand parent. Loss of good mental health knows no boundaries.

Sadly, the stigma that still surrounds mental illness stops many from seeking the help they desperately need, and causes society to ignore this issue in our workplaces, homes, teams, schools, and even in our communities. This comes at a price. Loss of work production, education, self-worth and far too often loss of life.

On Monday, April 1st 2019 we are “standing up” to stigma with an incredible presentation called “Out Of Our Minds” - Exploring Mental Health & Resiliency being held at the Victoria Inn – Brandon, MB from 2:00 – 5:00. Featuring Commissioner of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League, 5 time Olympic Medal Winner and 2018 Hockey Hall Of Fame Inductee Jayna Hefford, comedian and mental health advocate Big Daddy Tazz, Comedian/Actor Rob Pue and former Junior hockey player, 2014 Manitoba Hero Award Winner and President of Wingman Player Consulting Carson Shields. With this initiative we want to help those in need find their voice, so they may find peace in their struggles. A peaceful mind is a productive mind.

With this powerful group, the afternoon will be filled with laughter, tears, realization and inspiration as the presenters bravely reveal their personal stories of struggles, resiliency, and triumphs with their own mental health and perseverance. They will also share the tools they have created to find peace. Each of the 4 speakers share a different, unique story that will bring useful tools we can all use in our daily lives to help ourselves and those around us who may be struggling.

Change starts now and it starts with you. We would be humbled and eternally grateful if you would share this special, important day with us. Whether it’s individually or as an organization. We cannot build a lifesaving event like this without the help of community minded members who care, not only about their employees, friends, team mates, families and self, but also for others, in your community, struggling to find the help they need.

Thank you for your time, your compassion and your commitment to help facilitate change and hope.
