Mit CITY JAZZ BRB entsteht in Brandenburg an der Havel ein neues Festival, das von klassischem bis tanzbarem, neuem Jazz reicht und bewusst an die lange Jazztradition der Stadt anknüpft. Gemeinsam mit lokalen und regionalen Akteurinnen und Akteuren geplant und umgesetzt, verbindet das Format internationale Namen mit einer starken Verankerung vor Ort.

Gespielt wird auf zwei Bühnen im Klosterareal: der Hauptbühne im Kirchenschiff und der Hofbühne im Klostergarten. Beide Bereiche werden künstlerisch illuminiert und schaffen damit eine besondere Festivalatmosphäre. Ein Workshop-Programm ergänzt die Konzerte und lädt zum Mitmachen, Zuhören und Entdecken ein.

Auf dem Programm stehen am Freitag Nouvelle Vague und am Samstag die Jazzanova Band mit Wayne Snow und Clara Hill. Ergänzt wird das Line-up durch das Aaron Ottignon Aroma Trio, Bossa Pacifico, Flo Naegeli und Band, sowie Mieke Miami. Mit Mieke Miami aus dem Land Brandenburg und Aron Ottignon sind zwei Jazzpreisgewinner dabei, die für die Verbindung von regionaler Herkunft und internationalem Profil stehen.

CITY JAZZ BRB versteht sich als Festival für ein breites Publikum – urban, offen und musikalisch vielseitig.
