We’ll provide gloves and shovels—all you need to bring is your enthusiasm!How you'll be making an impactThis site is part of a multi-year restoration initiative focused on expanding and enhancing the existing forest edge, naturalizing former agricultural fields, and creating high-quality wildlife habitat. These efforts will increase natural cover, support greater biodiversity, and improve the overall health and resilience of the ecosystem.In honour of National Tree Day, volunteers will participate in digging holes, planting, watering and mulching trees and shrubs. This planting project is an important component of this phased restoration plan. Many of the native shrubs selected are flowering species that will provide valuable forage, shelter, and nesting habitat for native pollinators, birds, and other wildlife, helping to strengthen biodiversity and ecological function across the site. Free Food:Volunteers can grab a snack, courtesy of Vachon and Hormel Foods.
