Based on forest bathing practices, we will:Deeply connect to the sounds, smells, textures, and views of nature, allowing us to relax into and become part of the landscape.Explore the more than human world with all our senses.Have an opportunity to share our experience with the group through mini councils, fostering community connection.Taste safe herbal teas from the land during a tea ceremony!What to bring and wear:Comfortable closed toe walking shoes such as running shoes, or flat boots.Layers to stay comfortable outdoors.Water bottle to stay hydrated.Sitting pad (There will be times when we will sit on the ground. If you physically can't sit on the ground, please bring a camp chair you can carry. A limited amount of sitting will be available).A little bit about your guide:Sana Ahmed is a certified forest therapy guide through the GIFT Global Institute of Forest Therapy and Nature Connection. She is also a local writer, artist and photographer based in Brampton, ON. Sana's work aims to foster deep nature connection through her guided walks and artwork.
