Join us for an introduction to some of the mammals, birds and amphibians found in Ontario. Enjoy a low impact hike through the trails at Clairevlle conservation area and learn more about the animals that call this area home.You will learn through knowledge sharing, observation and interacting with real examples of animal fur, skulls and feathers.We will introduce and talk about BeaversFoxesCoyotesGreat Grey HeronsOwlsAmerican Mink and moreWhen the hike is over, join us in the grounds of the field study for a complimentary freezie.(please note there are no live animals involved in this hike and talk. All animal products furs, skulls etc  that will be used are ethically sourced and used for education purposes only) Please make sure to review this event page for more important information and the FAQ prior to your session.Program Information· All participants under the age of 18 must have an adult over the age of 18+ that is registered, accompanying them at the event. · Please aim to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled session time to ensure adequate time to sign in. · Their are washrooms and a water filling station on site at the Etobicoke Field Study centre· The program will last 2 hours. The hike is low impact but does involve moving through areas with uneven trails and potential tripping hazards.· Sessions run rain or shine, but are subject to cancellation and modification.Note: We kindly ask that you cancel your Eventbrite tickets if you anticipate you will not be able to attend your session so others may register. Thank you.Meeting Location: Please meet by the Etobicoke Filed study centre. Drive into the Claireville Conservation area entrance off Highway 50 and proceed past the public parking lot and into the parkParking: Free parking is available at the Etobicoke Filed study centre. Washrooms: Washrooms and water refill station are available in the Etobicoke Filed study centre. What to bring:· Sunglasses · Closed toe shoes· Hat· sunscreen, and bug spray (if needed)· Reuseable Water bottleSession Agenda:· Introduction to Claireville conservation area by TRCA staff and a description of the program content and hike. 15 minutes· Interpretive hike along trail 1.30 minutes· Return to Etobicoke filed study centre· Enjoy complimentary freeezies under the seated area by the shady hickory tree.
