Create a painterly pop of color in this modern approach to florals. Choose your colors and create a vase full of poppies, roses, or ranunculus. 

Using a collection of original hand-printed papers created by artist Lisa Ackerman, you'll build a vibrant floral composition on an 8” x 10” cradled wood panel. Through layering, and arranging these beautiful papers, you'll create an artwork that blends the line between painting and collage.

No drawing experience is needed. You'll be guided through the process of creating flowers, leaves, and a vase while exploring color, composition, and texture. The hand-printed papers provide endless possibilities, ensuring every piece is unique.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike. Come enjoy a creative afternoon, slow down, and leave with a finished floral artwork ready to display in your home or gift to someone special.

Class will be held at Lil Fish Studios (Studio 101) in the Franklin Arts Center, 1001 Kingwood Street, Brainerd, MN 56401. Parking is available on Kingwood Street or in the lot. Please enter through the south-side entrance.
