BRAINERD, Minn. — Oct. 11, 2026 — Minnesota author T. Stevens invites readers and science fiction enthusiasts to celebrate the release of his newest novel, "Finding Elise," on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Ya Sure Kombucha in downtown Brainerd. The event will feature an author talk at 5 p.m. Receive a free drink with your book purchase.

"Finding Elise" is the second installment in Stevens' science fiction series, "The Planet Finder Series," following his debut novel, "Aardis," published in 2025.

Blending intergalactic adventure, romance, mystery and humor, "Finding Elise" takes readers on an emotional journey across distant galaxies as Scott North and his team uncover clues suggesting that Elise may still be alive. Determined to find her, they follow a trail through strange worlds filled with unexpected allies, dangerous enemies and extraordinary discoveries.

Along the way, readers encounter unforgettable characters, including Dendra, an alien who challenges expectations of extraterrestrial life. From prophetic nursery rhymes and singing stars to ruthless cultists and mysterious civilizations, the story explores the power of love, loyalty and hope in the face of seemingly impossible odds.

As Scott and his team move closer to uncovering the truth about Dendra, one question remains: Will they find Elise?

The Oct. 17 celebration offers an opportunity to meet Stevens, learn more about his imaginative science fiction series and celebrate the release of his latest book. Stevens will give an author talk at 5 p.m., sharing insights into his writing and the inspiration behind the series.
