Yardfest X MHM Presents Yorkshire Gypsy Swing Collective at Darley Street Kitchen

Free entry music, great to enjoy with delicious food & drinks, all available at Darley Street Kitchen.

The Yardfest series is a collaboration between MHM & Yardfest to bring high quality Jazz to your Friday nights on monthly basis, curated by Yardfest Saltaire.

A gypsy jazz supergroup with musicians from all around Yorkshire playing music inspired from legendary musicians Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli of the ‘Quintette du Hot Club de France’. The Collective remains in the spirit of Django and Stephane, while pushing the genre of ‘gypsy jazz’ forward into a modern sphere.

The group consists of the traditional guitar (Lewis Kilvington and Martin Chung), double bass (James Munroe) and violin (Derek Magee) with additional clarinet (Christine Pinkard) and were recently featured in Guitarist magazine about Django Reinhardt legacy.

Expect some fast licks, burning ballads and even some Latin-inspired pieces.
