Wherever possible she works with reclaimed and repurposed textiles — vintage hauls, offcuts and remnants, worn garments, bedding and curtains — turning what might be thrown away into something new and wearable. With over 25 years working in education and design, and more creative hobbies collected along the way than she can count, Helen finally picked up a sewing machine in 2023 and hasn't stopped since — sewing has become almost like meditation to her. Helen teaches relaxed, hands-on sessions that focus on building real confidence at the machine, whether that's a total beginner learning to thread up for the first time or someone ready to make their first garment.
