- **Event Description**: Spend the day with artist Liz Harvey using different painting and drawing techniques to capture flowers and foliage.About this EventThis will be a dynamic and exciting day, using a range of different painting and drawing materials to create a series of studies inspired by flowers & foliage. The morning will be spent experimenting and working on mixed media techniques, layering and building up images. The afternoon will be spent focusing on a sustained piece (or further studies if you prefer).There will be a range of flowers and foliage to inspire us throughout the day, so we can work from observation and use this as a starting point, but there will also be plenty of scope for your own creativity and exploration. She has extensive teaching experience and alongside her own artistic practice, teaches regularly across North Yorkshire and from her art teaching studio near Ripon.Liz is inspired by natural forms and landscape in her own work with an emphasis on colour, structure and light.
