Winter Royal Iced Biscuit Class at The Makery, Bradford on Avon

Start the festive season with an opportunity to slow down and take the chance to learn the art of royal icing. A skill for life to take away with you along with your own winter iced biscuits.

Learn the fundamental principles of decorating with royal icing and find out the secret to 'No-Spread' biscuits. Techniques and recipes will be shared along with the opportunity to put the theory into practice. Ice your own set of Winter hats and mittens and enjoy the delight they will bring to you and your loved ones this festive season.

Guests, whether beginners or experienced, will be guided through the techniques of preparing and creating your own Winter Royal Iced biscuits under the expert instruction of Chris Orton, an experienced, City of Guilds professionally trained artist.

Chris is a bespoke cake and cookie artist based in Wiltshire, specialising in elegant and sophisticated designs. Her creations are driven by a love of colour and a keen eye for detail. Chris's work has been featured on Channel 4, cakeflix tv and Sugar st studio’s. Chris has also received a Salon Culinaire award for icing techniques, and have had work published in various sugarcraft publications.

All materials and tools are provided.

Please note, for this class to run, we do require at least 8 people on the class to make it feasible. If unfortunately there are not 8 people or more booked into the class, we will need to cancel the class but a full refund will be issued.
