Shukri has gained a lot of experience as a lawyer based in Nablus, since his last visit in 2015 when as a student he spoke about his personal experiences of life under occupation. He is returning to Bradford on Avon as a lawyer, a husband and father, to reconnect with Bradford on Avon audiences and share how life under occupation is currently impacting him, his family and his community in Nablus.Shukri will speak alongside human rights lawyer, Benazir Jatoi, who spoke and was moderator at our Apartheid Conference in Chippenham earlier this year. Together, they will weave Shukri’s personal experiences in Nablus with their combined knowledge of international law and human rights.Refreshments available from 7pm.
