Celebrate local fruit and vegetable farming !About this Event? Community Farmer Day ?This will be the 3rd 'Be a Farmer for the Day' Community event of the summer, they have been great and if you didn't manage to make the last two, Don't worry this one is going to be the best. We have the farm marquee, picnic benches and facilities that will allow us to host this event and we are grateful for the funding from Wiltshire Area Board and the support of Climate Friendly Bradford that has enabled these events to happen.We have found a taster in Four activities in the morning suits;So approximately 40minutes on each of the following, Garlic planting, direct sowing of spinach in the tunnels, tidying the tomatoes and pressing apples for Juice!Community feastAfter lunch there will be the option of having a walk around the farm, talking of this seasons crops as well as new and existing projects on our Community minded farm. For those that dont want to do the walk there will be another option of returning to the market gardenThe event is open to all and we are designing the day to be family friendly. Through our team of qualified co-ordinators and volunteers we will offer individuals the opportunity to set their own pace whilst enjoying this earthy experience. Both qualified Well-being and child care specialists will be present and part of the farm team on the day as well as skilled growers and chefs cooking us delicious treats. We are aiming to have a tailored activity to suit most ages and abilities.
