Wed 1/21, Intro to Sock Darning/ Mending, 6:30-9:30pm

Join artist Madison Kutz in the age old sustainable practice of sock darning! A great intro to visibly mending any knitted piece of clothing, this class will give you the tools to fix the clothes you have and have fun doing it. Madison will cover the basic distinctions between different fabrics, her favorite darning supplies, how to thread your needle, weave your thread while holding a darning mushroom, and secure your work. Everyone will have ample time to practice these techniques before moving on to the main project of class— darning your first sock! While you darn Madison will answer questions and provide individual feedback so everyone leaves feeling confident in their new mending abilities.
