- **Event Description**: In this leatherworking bootcamp, we will guide you to creatinh your own high-end, unisex, leather tote bag with a pocket &keychain! The finished project is a leather tote measuring 13" X 11", with an inside pocket and keychain. It’s the perfect bag for keeping track of all of you doodads, whatsits, and thingamajigs!

During this 4 hour class, students will learn to cut a pattern from leather hide, how and when to use leather adhesives, sewing and riveting. We'll also cover how to punch holes, hand stitching techniques, and creating a box corner. Your bag will be partially machine sewn in class by your teacher on a break and the remainder of the bag will be handsewn in class by you. Lastly, you’ll cut your choice of straps and rivet them onto your bag. This class includes several hours of handwork and stitching, so a prior leather class or sewing class is always helpful, but not necessary.

Bring those hands well rested and ready to work! Students will have a variety of colors to chose from.
