- **Event Description**: Do you want to enter the world of indigo dreams? Come and learn the beautiful and ancient Japanese resist-dyeing technique known as Shibori. In this class you will learn the basics of creating an indigo dye-bath using pre-reduced indigo crystals and Shibori techniques to generate unique patterns and designs to dye several pieces of fabric that can be made into things, some tea towels and a bandana. Each piece will be unique and unexpected and use four different patterns/ styles, so you’ll learn several styles and methods. You will use folded, tied, and bound resist techniques to create your beautiful indigo pieces. This class will be a great starter class to get you going, as well we will expand to offer more shibori projects classes in the future.


Class comes with 4 napkins, bandanas, tea towels or a mix of those items. You also are welcome to bring 2-3 smaller items like a pillowcase, t shirt, etc that are 100% cotton. Napkins are a holiday favorite and fun for entertaining this time of year or gifting. We do have extra blanks available if time permits to dye for a small fee (cost of the items).
