- **Event Description**: Meet at Westmorland Park Pavilion, RG42 3QP, at 10am. We will then walk to the woodland site, approx. 0.9km/0.6mile.

Himalayan balsam is an invasive, non-native species which spreads rapidly and is harmful to our native wildlife and to riverbanks. Looking for volunteers to help remove it – it has shallow roots and is easy to pull up. Please bring gloves and a drink, and wear long trousers and sturdy shoes/boots. Secateurs may be useful but no other equipment needed. Not suitable for children or dogs.

It is possible to park nearer the site (Gardeners Road, Winkfield Row). Should you wish to do so, or if you have questions, please email for further information or contact Claire Wallen on 07484 679215.
