The event starts with a short overview of the chakra system followed by a guided Crystal Singing Bowl Meditation.
The sound produced by crystal bowls, which are made of quartz, brings positive effects and changes in the body, specifically the autonomic, immune, and endocrine systems. In fact, modern scientists and doctors are integrating this work into medical practice. Mitchell Gaynor, M.D., director of Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine at the Strang Cancer Prevention Center (Cornell University Medical College) and author of The Healing Power of Sound: Recovery from Life-Threatening Illness Using Sound, Voice and Music, use crystal bowls and Tibetan bowls in his practice with cancer patients.
