Our mission is SO much bigger than teaching the community to care for animals and self-sustainability. We encourage getting outside and creative expression. We strive for our youths to feel inspired by the world around them. SO... for our junior creative writers 8 years-old and over... this one is for you! We gotta keep their brains working in the summertime too!
The participants will be matched up with a writing mentor. They will be introduced to different writing styles and techniques, as well as different types of literature. Then, with their mentor,  they will stroll around the farm: pen and journal in hand, taking notes and gathering inspiration. After the ideas start swirling in their mind. It is time to put them on paper. They will find a comfy spot in the grass or on a hay bale and begin to let their story unfold! Their mentor will not invade in their creativity. However, they will be there to assist them from the beginning to the ending (depending on their age and writing level). The writing process is designed to be fun and NOT feel like schoolwork. We will turn the collection of works into a lovely book that will be offered for raising funds for our crazy critters! A great way for youths to keep their brains working, express their creativity and contribute to a great cause. 
The cost is $20 and includes critter cuddles and horse-back riding
