Coming up in September, percussionist Grace Lee invites you to discover the beauty of the marimba in dialogue with the piano. With its broad range and warm, resonant wooden bars, the marimba lets a single performer combine rich harmonies, bass lines, and lyrical melodies using a four-mallet technique.

 - Michael de Huy, Dialogue for Marimba and Piano

 - Keiko Abe, Variations on Japanese Children's Songs

 - Kevin Puts, Marimba Concerto 

Lee and de Huy are, respectively, current and former students of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and both have recently participated in career-building opportunities and courses in Europe.

This concert will also be held at Wollongong Art Gallery on Thursday 3 September at 11 am.
