The Maryland Photography Alliance (MPA) is proud to present Annie Griffiths and Michael Yamashita for an afternoon of inspiring and educational photography.
Annie Griffiths was one of the first women photographers to work for The National Geographic Society. She has received numerous awards, including from The National Press Photography Association, The White House News Photographers Association, The Associated Press, and many more.
Michael Yamashita is a Japanese-American photographer and explorer who has contributed to National Geographic for over 40 years. His work has spanned six continents and focused on retracing the journeys of historical explorers like Marco Polo and Zheng He. His work has been exhibited globally. He has also published 16 books and made two documentary films.
