HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

A cardiac emergency can happen anywhere — at work, at home or in the community.

Knowing how to recognise an emergency, commence CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can provide vital assistance while emergency services are on their way.

Corrsafe Training & Safety Services delivers nationally recognised HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation training, providing participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform CPR in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

✅ Recognising and assessing an emergency situation
✅ Ensuring the safety of yourself, bystanders and the casualty
✅ Assessing an unconscious casualty
✅ Recognising when CPR is required

🚑 PRACTICAL CPR ASSESSMENT

Participants are required to demonstrate practical CPR skills as part of the competency assessment.

This includes performing at least two minutes of uninterrupted single-rescuer CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin positioned on the floor, using an AED and performing CPR on an infant resuscitation manikin.

🏢 CPR TRAINING FOR THE WORKPLACE

HLTAID009 may be suitable for workers, supervisors, managers, designated workplace first aiders and other people who may be required to provide CPR in a workplace or community emergency.

Regular refresher training helps workers maintain their CPR knowledge and practical skills.

🔄 CPR REFRESHER TRAINING

Workplace first aid guidance recommends that first aiders undertake CPR refresher training annually to maintain their skills and competence.
