- **Event Description**: This coming Sunday’s screening of the 2001 hit silent comedy la Vida grande was largely inspired by Murray and Anna Maria Atherton. It was the first play they saw after moving to Bowen Island, and they kept asking us to do a remount as it was their favorite. This was not possible as the extreme physicality of the show demanded much younger bodies than our current models, however we realized we did have an excellent video recording of the play and with Bowen‘s brand new theater and it’s movie screen, we realized we could do a command premiere for the Atherton‘s of the show.

Murray and Ana Maria have invested their heart and soul into the Bowen community for the last 25 years and it is a set and it is sad to say that they will be leaving this month for new horizons. Murray told us he was tickled that the first play they saw when they came to Bowen would also be their last when they left.

Please join us to watch the funniest play in the world and to share cake and coffee with our favorite theater patrons.  A perfect Father’s Day gift?

La Video Grande is at the new community theater Sunday the 21st at 2 PM. Tickets are $15 and available at the pharmacy.
