- **Event Description**: Course for ages 7-15About this EventThis class will run for 5 weeks.Every Saturday from 9-10:30am, starting May 30th & ending June 27th.During these classes, your child will learn how to safely do the following:Front Squat, Back Squat, Snatch, Clean & Jerk, & learn basic accessories and stetching.June 27th, which will be the last week, will be a MOCK MEET for the parents to come and watch. The Kids will "compete" just like in a real competition & show their parents all of their hard work.5/30: Introduction to weightlifting, group warm up, learn the basics of Snatch & Front Squat.6/6: Recap, Group Warm up, learn the basics of CJ & Back squat6/13 Recap, Group Warm up, Sntach Drill, CJ Drill, Back Squat6/20: Recap, Group Warm up, Snatch & CJ Practice for competition.6/27: Team Warm up, CompeteWaivers will be emailed as registrations come in.*please note. Kids learn on a PVC pipe. Not a heavy barbell. When/if your child is ready, a youth bar is then used. Children's bumper plates are added thereafter, if they are ready. It is a slow progression & most will not even have real weight on their bars. (Unless they show above average body awareness, coordination & Stength.)*NO refunds, if a class is missed they will get a recap in the next session. It can not be made up.
