Writing Through Play: Sparking Creativity, Truth and Joy

Exploring writing and character development through stage improvisation techniques and thought exercises.

'Writing Through Play' is a workshop designed to help writers at any stage of their career develop spontaneity, originality, playfulness and truth.

As an experienced stage improviser, author Faye Brann utilises some of the toolkit and thinking behind improvisation and, through a series of fun, simple exercises that get you up and out of your seat, encourages you to learn to take risks, fail with joy, and create changes that drive a story forward.

Specifically, we look at how being obvious rather than original can help your creativity as well as stay in step with your reader; and how to spark joy.
